The Philip Kappel Collection of Japanese woodblock prints represents a selection of the foremost Ukiyo-e artists of the 18th and early 19th centuries.  Formerly part of the R. Leicester Harmsworth Collection, the prints were previously exhibited at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, before the collection was dispersed in the 1920's.
